This server operates in English, and it is essential that you communicate in English while participating. Being able to communicate in English is necessary to address any issues that may arise.
As GTA V is rated R18+ in Australia, players must be 18 or over to participate.
All players must have a working and clear microphone.
In our community, we emphasise respect, inclusivity, and kindness. Creating an environment free from bullying, discrimination, and harassment is our priority. Upholding this commitment is straightforward—just be kind. While in-character comments are allowed during roleplay, mentioning a character's "out of character" life or persona is strictly forbidden. Furthermore, making derogatory remarks towards players who are incapacitated during hostile roleplay is expressly prohibited on our server.
Our community maintains high standards of respect and professionalism. Staff abuse, slander, and disputes are not tolerated. If a staff member offers guidance or issues a sanction, kindly refrain from immediate arguments. If you feel a decision is unjust, we encourage you to submit a detailed staff ticket in the Help Tickets channel. Escalating conflicts with staff only complicates matters. Please appreciate and respect the dedication and time invested by our staff. Impersonation of a staff member is strictly forbidden. If you ever have concerns about staff conduct, report them through a ticket via the Help Tickets Discord channel.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards racism, bestiality, homophobia/transphobia, and sexual harassment or assault. Such actions will not be tolerated in-character (IC) or out-of-character (OOC) and will lead to severe consequences. Always be mindful of fellow players and choose themes that ensure a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. We want Wicked Gaming to be a safe place for all.
Do not send direct messages to admin/staff. Instead, submit a support ticket to ensure that the entire staff can view and assist you. You can submit a ticket in the Help Tickets Discord channel.
The use of third-party mods or applications within the server is strictly prohibited. Exploiting or abusing in-game mechanics or bugs will not be tolerated. Breaching this rule may lead to immediate removal from the community. This encompasses cheating, exploiting undiscovered glitches, duplicating weapons/items, or misusing commands to identify players. If there are suspicions of engaging in such activities, staff not only reserve the right to limit your access but will also conduct a thorough investigation to uphold the integrity of our platform.
We strictly prohibit any real-world profiting from our server, except for streamers who may receive donations while showcasing our server to their audience. Our community revolves around active roleplay, aiming to create an immersive experience for all members. We expect individuals to engage with the server for the sole purpose of roleplaying a character, rather than seeking monetary gains. Any attempts to profit, such as selling in-game items or currencies for real-world money, offering real-world services or items, seeking financial benefits, or engaging in economic exploitation, will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate and permanent ban. This also includes players who make the purchase of said products or services. We believe the true essence of our server lies in the enjoyment and engagement of roleplaying, and we encourage all members to embrace this spirit.
Promotion or advertisement of other game servers/cities within our Discord or city is strictly prohibited.
Repeatedly violating rules in an obvious manner or displaying toxicity will lead to a ban, subject to the discretion of the staff team. Show respect towards fellow players and the community as a whole. Refrain from engaging in trolling behaviour with the intent to bait or harass others.
Players should craft distinct characters with unique traits. When these characters enter the city, they should possess no prior knowledge of worldly events or familiarity with other individuals residing in the city, unless they are entering together, such as a married couple.
Player characters are required to have names that reflect realism and appropriateness. Avoid using explicit sexual references, unrealistic names, and names associated with political figures or celebrities.
Maintain your in-character persona at all times. Utilising a voice changer is allowed if it enhances the portrayal of your character. In the event of an issue, including rule violations, address it through roleplay and resolve it once out of character. If a rule violation is severe and makes you uncomfortable, you have the option to record, disconnect, and promptly open a ticket in the Help Tickets Discord channel.
Unauthorized use of premade GTA PEDs, including animals, is strictly prohibited. If detected, you will be instructed to create a new character. Failure to comply with this directive may result in staff intervention. Please ensure you use the Freemode PEDs only (male or female).
Show consideration for others' roleplay experiences. Aim to create the best possible scenarios for your fellow players. All interactions with other players should contribute to the overall benefit of everyone's roleplay experience. Whether you win or lose, remember that we engage in this for enjoyment, and when everyone is having fun, we all come out as winners.
Safe zones are designated regions on the map (marked with a green circle) where violence is strictly prohibited to maintain a peaceful environment. Any hostile actions, including shooting or ramming, are strictly forbidden within these areas. Additionally, it is against the rules to initiate hostile roleplay and then seek safety within a safe zone. Transporting a player out of a safe zone to engage in hostile interactions is also prohibited.
When your character becomes incapacitated and respawns, they cannot recall the events directly preceding their incapacitation. You only recall the events leading up to your demise if you are brought back by Fire Rescue or Ambulance services. However, information about your untimely demise from a witness is acceptable and can be shared with you. If you disconnect while incapacitated, you must still follow the New Life Rule. You may not return to the scene of the crime for at least 15 minutes.
An attitude driven solely by the desire to win is completely unacceptable. Remember, this is roleplay, and it's natural to experience both victories and defeats. Under no circumstances are you to prioritise winning above all else, as our primary goal here is to have fun together.
Automated processes, including but not limited to macros, scripts, auto-clickers, botting, or any actions being completed while the player is AFK or non-responsive, are strictly prohibited on this server. Players found using such methods for unfair advantages may face consequences, including the removal of items, wiping of inventories, including vehicles and stashes belonging to other players or businesses, at our discretion. They may also be subject to a temporary or permanent ban.
Players are strictly prohibited from engaging in any form of robbery against other players or their vehicles. Any attempt to rob another player will result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including a temporary or permanent ban. We prioritise creating a safe and enjoyable roleplaying environment for all members of our community, and any violations of this rule will not be tolerated.
All characters must operate with a realistic sense of fear for their lives. Although characters cannot permanently die, they should behave as if they are susceptible to severe injury or potential loss of life in any given scenario. In short - treat your life as if you have no respawns left.
When held at gunpoint, characters must consider the potential consequences of their actions, as they could result in injury or death. Compliance with reasonable demands is expected, but if an opportunity arises where the immediate danger has passed (e.g., no longer facing a weapon), characters may choose to fight back, provided they have not been restrained or had their weapons confiscated. It's important to note that this rule should not be abused to continuously evade Emergency Service scenarios, such as holding up a member of Emergency Services to avoid being transported or detained. Characters are expected to realistically value their lives while maintaining a balance with roleplay scenarios. The same principle applies to deliberate actions that could lead to severe harm, such as reckless driving manoeuvres or high-altitude jumps. The overarching objective is to foster a realistic sense of danger and consequences, prompting characters to make decisions that align with a genuine concern for their well-being and that of others.
Random Deathmatch (RDM) is defined as causing physical harm to another character without proper initiation or prior verbal roleplay. Initiation must go beyond simple commands like "hands up or die" and provide sufficient time for the other party to react. It is imperative to have a valid roleplay reason before incapacitating someone. If the other party complies with reasonable demands and there is no other roleplay justification to harm them, incapacitation is not permitted. For example, killing a compliant individual during a robbery or attacking solely to erase their memory is not permitted. Players must engage in roleplay interactions such as kidnapping, intimidation, or verbal threats before resorting to lethal measures.
Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) occurs when a player intentionally uses their vehicle as a weapon to harm another character, and doing so is strictly forbidden. The only acceptable scenario is if an attacker is in your reasonable escape path. Excessive vehicle-to-vehicle ramming may also be considered VDM. While vehicles can be used strategically, such as performing a "pit" manoeuvre at low speeds, ensure that it aligns with realistic driving guidelines. Violation of these rules may result in consequences determined by Wicked Gaming staff. Deliberately striking someone, even if they are attacking you, is not allowed.
Combat Logging is described as intentionally disconnecting from the server to evade any form of roleplay and is strictly forbidden. This encompasses disconnecting to avoid death, combat, arrest, medical attention, or any other roleplay scenario. Similarly, Combat Storing is when you store your vehicle or items in an active situation. Both of these are not allowed and will result in a ban, unless proof is shown that you genuinely disconnected.
Players must refrain from displaying unwarranted aggression towards law enforcement officers, especially in situations where their in-game character is severely disadvantaged or outnumbered. This includes but is not limited to initiating violent confrontations or attacking officers without justifiable in-game circumstances. Additionally, players are prohibited from showing any aggression towards police officers if there is only one officer on duty. In such scenarios, players are expected to comply with reasonable demands from the officer. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in disciplinary action, including a temporary or permanent ban from the server. We prioritise creating a realistic and immersive roleplaying environment where interactions with law enforcement are conducted in a respectful and balanced manner.
Cop baiting, defined as intentionally provoking law enforcement officers or enticing them into unnecessary chases or altercations, is strictly prohibited. Players are expected to respect the role of law enforcement within the server and cooperate with them in a realistic and immersive manner. Any attempt to bait or harass law enforcement officers will result in disciplinary action, ranging from warnings to temporary or permanent bans from the server. We aim to maintain a balanced and authentic roleplaying experience for all participants, and any behaviour that disrupts this will not be tolerated.
Erotic Roleplay (ERP) is permitted within reasonable limits between consenting adults but is strictly prohibited in public areas of the server or on the Wicked Gaming Discord servers. Additionally, it may not be streamed on any platform.
Metagaming is defined as utilising out-of-character knowledge for personal in-character benefit or gain. Metagaming encompasses both this and the sharing of information or assets between different characters. This includes any insights gained from external sources like Discord, Twitch, or forums. For example, using knowledge obtained from watching streams or reading chats to directly influence a roleplay scenario is strictly prohibited. Additionally, cross-character meta, involving the transfer of money or items between characters, is considered equivalent to sharing knowledge and is not allowed, regardless of the use of intermediaries.
Powergaming refers to the act of imposing your roleplay on a situation to achieve a desired outcome without allowing the other party a fair opportunity to respond.
Punishable Examples of Powergaming:
Further examples of powergaming include overhearing conversations through walls, misuse of third-person cameras, exploiting game menu options, adding PvP enhancements through modifications, manipulating reviving situations for continued roleplay, binding automated actions, engaging in misconduct within Safe Zones, and exploiting game mechanics to obtain unrealistic items.
In essence, players are expected to prioritise realistic and immersive roleplay experiences, refraining from actions that disrupt the balance of the game world or unfairly favor one party over another. If uncertain about an action being classified as powergaming, it is advisable to err on the side of realism.
Fail RP, an abbreviation for "Fail Roleplay" or "Failure to Roleplay," is characterised by the improper execution of roleplaying scenarios. This includes, but is not limited to, instances such as crashing a vehicle and carrying on without acknowledging the consequences or falling from a significant height and portraying the character as unharmed.
Examples of punishable fail RP:
These guidelines are established to ensure that roleplaying scenarios are approached with consistency and adherence to realism, fostering an immersive and engaging environment for all participants. Players are encouraged to uphold the standards of genuine roleplay and respond appropriately to the consequences of their characters' actions.
These rules are subject to change at any time without notice.
